Aviation has always been a part of my life. I enjoyed watching my grandfather build a plane in his garage and listening to my uncle’s stories who is a captain for a major airline. After graduating from Point Loma Nazarene (where I played baseball and majored in Finance) I joined the U.S.Navy. The final months of my naval career were served at the San Diego FAA Flight Standards District office. While at the FAA, I became immersed in aviation and was exposed to nearly every aspect of the field one could imagine. My time with the FAA led me to pursue a career in aviation.
I’ve been flying for a few years now and enjoyed being a full-time instructor and Safety Officer at a large Part 141 flight school in San Diego. I am fortunate to be surrounded by strong members who have ingrained into me a mindset of safety always while having fun! My long-term goal is to continue instructing in San Diego so that others can pursue their dreams in aviation.
When I am not flying, I stay active by going to the gym, hiking or running at the beach. Aviation will always be my number one passion, but riding motorcycles is a very close second!
